| January 2005, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles |
Sunset at the hotel beach |
Saturday nights they served dinner on the beach |
The northern most beach on the island |
Playa Kalki - our first stop of the day |
And we are the only visitors this day |
| Picture postcard beauty awaited us |
Turquoise water, waves gently lapping on the beach |
This is paradise! |
Except for one not so little thing - the coral and rocks |
over which you had to climb to get to the water |
but the pain was worth it |
| shade for those who need it |
all too soon others found our hideway |
one last look around the beach |
One drawback of solitude - no one to take your picture! |
Into the car in search of the next beach |
Groot Knip - bigger and more populated - just as gorgeous |
| We can't wait to dive in and snorkel these waters |
and snorkel we did |
it's not as easy as it looks to get these underwater shots! |
some coral |
some snorkelers |
and finally some fish |
